We're able to offer a reduced membership fee to members in specific circumstances so they can continue to access our member benefits and services to support their work, careers and continuing professional development (CPD).

CIPD Financial Assistance Register – 50% reduced membership rates

We understand that at certain times in your career there may be circumstances which make paying your membership fees more challenging. To support members and ensure that you can continue to access your membership benefits, in specific situations, we are able to offer reduced membership rates of 50% off your membership fee.

Reduced membership rate for members aged 60 or over

If you are aged 60 or over you can apply to be placed on our retired register and receive full member services for a reduced subscription fee. This would be £72 for the first 5 years, and £36 thereafter.* 

Eligibility criteria:

• You've been a Foundation, Associate or Chartered Member, Chartered Fellow or Companion (Chartered MCIPD, Chartered FCIPD or Chartered CCIPD) for the last five years
• You're not in paid employment
• You're aged 60 or over
• You are of any age and have certified permanent incapacity to work because of ill health.

This benefit is not available to Affiliate members.
