Our community of like-minded professionals grew to nearly 150,000 this year*. As their professional body, we want each and every one of our members to trust us to support them in the changing world of work.
Throughout the course of the year, we asked our members to tell us about their perceptions and experience of the CIPD. We learnt a lot – both about what we're doing well, and where we need to improve. The vast majority agree that we are fulfilling our purpose of championing better work and working lives, and see us as an important career partner. But there's more we can do to increase our relevance and provide better value for money.

Our year in dates and numbers
We published the CIPD/High Pay Centre report looking at CEO pay packages in FTSE100 companies – our most popular media story for the financial year.
The number of organisations around the world who chose us to help them build high-performing HR teams.
We finalised a strategic communications partnership with Haymarket.
The number of people enrolled on two new free courses we piloted on the global social learning platform, FutureLearn.
We signed a Mutual Recognition Agreement with the newly formed Institute of Human Resource Professions (IHRP) in Singapore.
The number of members CIPD Asia engaged with by running and presenting at 12 events.
We hosted a round table to discuss the Government’s response to Matthew Taylor's review of modern working practices.
The number of members we had on 30 June 2018 – nearly 2% over our target.
The number of members who actively volunteered their skills in our community investment programmes.
The total number of visits to our website – up 6% on 2016-17.
